EN This study investigates the influence of automating the forging process on the durability of multi-cavity forging dies. With the increasing demand for efficiency and productivity in the manufacturing industry, automation has become a prominent solution. However, its effects on tool durability, particularly in complex processes like forging, requires further research. Through experimental analysis and computational simulations, this research aims to quantify the impact of automation on die durability, considering factors such as material fatigue, tool wear, and production efficiency. The findings provide valuable insights into optimizing the forging process, balancing automation benefits with the need for tool durability and cost-effectiveness. Ultimately, this study contributes to advancing the understanding of automated manufacturing in the context of metal forming, facilitating informed decision-making for industry practitioners and researchers alike.
