EN The article presents a research project results related to measuring the effectiveness of the dry ice production process with the use of a crank and piston pelletizer. It presents a purpose-built measurement test stand and the preliminary research results. It allowed keeping track of the consumption of raw materials such as liquid carbon dioxide and electricity during the production process, as well as of the weight of the final product. The comparison of these values made it possible to confront the efficiency of the production process by the die used. The research used a single-hole die being a standard equipment of a pelletizer. Due to the lack of standards useful in the standardization of the measurement of the efficiency of the dry ice extrusion process, the presented method can be used in the research and development works related to the extrusion process of dry ice and other similar materials.
