Abstract

EN The paper discusses different methods of formulating emulsions, and presents a structural solution employed in the design and construction of an experimental stand for the formulation of emulsions based on the method of premix membrane emulsification. The main element of the designed stand was a pressure tank suitable for the formulation of a premix which was then forced through a membrane. The designed experimental stand can be used for the formulation of emulsions using both conventional and dynamic membranes (packed bed of spherical microparticles). Tests of the stand showed that it was suitable for formulating emulsions with droplet diameters approximately 70% smaller than the original emulsion.
