Abstract

EN This paper is the result of an investigation into the notion of urban creation in the virtual space that constitutes the environment of activities performed in video games. The eminently spatial character of these products of digital culture has made the subject of space organization a challenge in gameplay since their inception. An overview of the issue of spatial creation in videogames is presented in relation to the embedding of videogames in contemporary culture. Next, the production being the subject of the case study has been described, and based on it, examples of inscribing selected basic elements of urban composition into the spatial logic of the game have been presented. The conclusions refer to the development of the socialisation of the concept of city creation, catalysed by the productions available on the market, which explore this topic from many different angles.
