Abstract

EN The aim of the study was to identify the most preferred forms of classes (lecture, exercise, project, laboratory, seminar) and types of activities (knowledge transfer, task execution, consultations, knowledge assessment) among students in both face-to-face and remote learning contexts. The subjects were students studying logistics at the Faculty of Management Engineering at the Poznań University of Technology. The study was conducted using a questionnaire survey, which was completed by 167 students from various semesters. The results were discussed through the lens of descriptive statistics and Spearman's correlation assessment. Correlation analysis was carried out between the modes of education (form and mode of classes) and the variables considered – age, gender, semester of study, level of computer proficiency. Out of over 700 statistically significant correlation analyses, 440 relationships were found, among them 7 strong positive, 90 moderate positive and 10 moderate negative, 271 weak positive and 62 weak negative correlations. Detailed results are available in the DOI file: 10.5281/zenodo.10674505, and their exhaustive discussion is included inside this article. The findings of the study serve as an evaluation of the educational process from the perspective of higher education institutions in the context of building the innovative potential of a knowledge-based economy. The formulated recommendations are useful for academic teachers and university authorities in designing more effective teaching strategies.
