EN This document is related to RoI-based encoding experiment (Core Experiment CE1) [1] of Video Coding for Machines activity. The considered tools originally has been submitted by Poznań University of Technology as a part of response [2] to “Call for Proposals for Video Coding for Machines" [3]. A general description of the tools is provided in [2, 4, and 5]. The document comprises the version of the tools tested in CE 1.6 with the hybrid inner codec (in CE1.6 the exact tools are tested with VTM as inner codec). This document presents detailed and updated description along with the new implementation details (compared to [4, 5]), as the tools are now adapted to the VCMRS [6, 7] software version 0.5.1. The presented solution keeps default configuration of temporal subsampling module in VCMRS, which is turned on. Therefore in the encoder, temporal resampling plugin is executed first, which is followed by the proposed RoI-based tools.
