If it takes too long to generate, you can limit the data by, for example, reducing the range of years.

Abstract

EN This document is related to RoI-based encoding experiment (Core Experiment CE1) [1] of Video Coding for Machines activity. The considered tools originally has been submitted by Poznań University of Technology as a part of response [2] to “Call for Proposals for Video Coding for Machines" [3]. A general description of the tools is provided in [2, 4, and 5]. The document comprises the version of the tools tested in CE 1.7 with the VTM as the inner codec. This document presents detailed and updated description along with the new implementation details (compared to [4, 5]), as the tools are now adapted to the VCMRS [6, 7] software version 0.5.1. The presented solution uses slightly modified configuration of temporal subsampling module in VCMRS, which is turned on, but used in exchanged order with RoI plugin. Therefore in the encoder, proposed RoI-based plugin is executed first, which is followed by temporal resampling.
