EN The paper re-analyses the hyperfine structure using a semi-empirical method made possible by new precise experimental data. By incorporating electric quadrupole interactions into the calculations, we were able to determine the nuclear quadrupole moment of 59Co. We compared the results with existing experimental data and theoretical calculations. Additionally, we provide predicted values for the magnetic dipole A and electric quadrupole B hyperfine structure constants for both even and odd levels.
